Awave is committed to supporting the 'National Privacy Principles for the Fair Handling of Personal Information' which set clear standards for the collection, access, storage and use of personal information which we obtain as part of our normal business operations.

Our respect for our customers' right to privacy of their personal information is paramount. We have policies and procedures to ensure that all personal information, no matter how or where it is obtained, is handled sensitively, securely, and in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

What personal information do we collect and store?

So that we can provide services to you, we may ask for personal details such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address. Some examples of where we may need these details are in-store, telephone or online orders. Privacy law requires us to collect personal information about you only from you if it is reasonable and practical to do so.

Awave takes measures to ensure your personal information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration. We also take measures to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information when it is no longer required. The types of measures we take vary with the type of information, and how it is collected and stored.

Generally, you have no obligation to provide any information requested by us. If you choose to withhold requested information however, we may not be able to provide you with the goods and services that depend on the collection of that information, particularly if the collection of that information is required by law.

How is personal information used?

The personal information that we ask for is generally used to provide goods or services to you. For example, for a credit card transaction we need your card number, and for an order that you wish to be delivered to you, we need your contact details so we can send your shipment and contact you if there are any problems.

We may also use your personal information in other ways to provide you with superior service. This may include using your personal information to advise you of new products and services. You have the right to tell us that you do not want us to send information to you other than for the main purpose for which we have collected your personal details.

Access to your personal information

We will provide you with access to any of your personal information we hold (except in the limited circumstances recognised by privacy law). Before we provide you with access to your personal information we will require some proof of identity. For most requests, your information will be provided free of charge, however we may charge a reasonable fee if your request requires a substantial effort on our part. If you need to update your information (eg. if you change your address), please contact us by phone on 61 3 9813 1833 so we can make the change.

Disclosure to other organisations

Awave does not make personal information available to other organizations unless required by law. For educational customers, we may pass on details to enable verification of your academic status to the publisher/distributor of the product you are purchasing. This information will not be used for marketing or other purposes.

Cookies

When you register with www.awave.com.au, a small amount of data, known as a "cookie" is stored on your computer. This file contains unique numbers that allow our online store to identify you. Cookies are used to make your shopping experience with us easier. It is Audio Chocolate policy not to make use of cookies for marketing purposes.

Shipping Information

Awave offer a range of delivery services depending on your delivery location and your order weight and dimensions. You can check what delivery options are available to you when viewing your shopping cart by entering your delivery postcode. For your security, all shipments will require a signature of an adult upon delivery. Our couriers may ask for you to present identification.

Important Information About Delivery Times:

All delivery times are indications only (as provided by the individual delivery service), and indicate the time it would normally take for delivery once the goods are dispatched from Awave. Delays in shipment may occur if a product is out of stock or temporarily unavailable from our suppliers. You will be advised via email of any substantial delay. In the event of some items on your order being in stock and some items being substantially delayed we will contact you with the option to split your shipment. Additional freight charges will apply.

StarTrack Express

StarTrack Express Road Freight offers affordable delivery of larger items via road freight throughout Australia. Delivery times can range from overnight up to 5 business days depending on your location. StarTrack cannot deliver to PO Boxes, Locked Bag, RMB or RSD addresses. Deliveries through this service can be tracked via www.startrackexpress.com.au.

Returns Policy

Should you receive any product with a manufacturing fault or for any other reason need to return a product to us, please call on +61 3 9813 1833.

Normally requests for returns will only be accepted within 7 days of the date of purchase. You will be responsible for return shipping costs unless we shipped a product that was incorrect or faulty on arrival.

Should a product be returned to as faulty, but is found to be in normal working order, you will be charged for the cost of freight from you and the cost of return freight to you at our regular freight charges. You may also be charged a service fee for the testing of the product. Audio Chocolate may charge a fee should you return any goods for credit or exchange which have been damaged while in your care.

Credits and refunds are limited to the cost of the goods excluding freight charges.

Any disputes shall be judged under the laws of the State of Victoria.
